Johns 21st Birthday in Florence and First Day of Class!

Yesterday was Johns 21st!!!!! Also first day of classes.

Lets start out with my first day of class. It was pretty awesome, I could not believe I was excited to take a class - even Italian class since its my worst subject. But taking it IN Italy has added an allure to it. The class is small about 10 kids from all over the country. Our teacher only speaks in Italian which makes it a little hard but I think I will be able to manage. Hopefully by the time the course is over I can speak better!

After class we decided to give food shopping another go. We got to the supermarket fine and loaded up on more essentials and some stuff for dinner this week. Also got that pizza I had the other day for lunch again.... and dinner. SO DELICIOUS. I could it for every meal while we are here! Getting home seems to always screw us...... We got back on the bus we came on going in the opposite direction thinking well this has to be right? After almost an hour and a tour of the suburbs of Florence we finally got back to our stop. It was nerve-wracking but there was AIR-CONDITIONING so who can really complain :)

We got back to the room and took a nice little nap and then to birthday fun!

We got John this cake at the store and we had no idea what it was or what was inside. It was unbelievable - Coral if your reading THIS IS A CAKE FOR YOU. I wish I could ship it home! It was a yellow cake - sort of - soaked in rum? Maybe? Maybe not? With a chocolate frosting and a lighter chocolate filling. We are still eating it nomnomnom

OH! Also we finally got Kinder eggs! We have been looking for them - since they are illegal in the US because the chocolate has toys hidden in it and people could choke blah blah. Inside one half is a toy the other is a delicious chocoaltey truffley gooey goodness! I will be eating as much Kinder chocolate as possible :D
