Boat on the Arno

Today after class we signed up for a boat trip on the Arno river that surrounds part of Florence. It was amazing to see the city from yet another angle. We went later in the day just as the sun was begging to set, it really was unbelievable.

Our boat named the Moses, was one of the 4 out of hundreds that survived one of Florences big floods, living up to the name. The way the maneuver the boat is interesting, they just stick a pole into the water and push off the ground. It made for a slow relaxing time.

A view before we got onto the boats, one of Florences many bridges

A view of the Ponte Vecchio, much cooler looking at it from this angle.

Completely relaxed on the Arno.

Perfect way to end a week! This weekend we are doing a bunch of cool things so check back! Hopefully I am better about blogging on time this week!
